Neuromodulator/Toxins/Wrinkle Relaxers
Toxins such as Botox Cosmetic and Jeuveau can be powerful tools to treat dynamic wrinkles and to soften existing etched lines. They all work similarly to temporarily paralyze the facial muscles. As a facial plastic surgeon exclusively dedicated to the treatment of the face and neck,
Dr. Lafer has a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, which allows her to give her patients with a youthful, refreshed, and natural appearance.
Dr. Lafer takes a graduated approach with wrinkle relaxers to avoid the “frozen look.” New patients return for a follow up appointment after 1-2 weeks for a second evaluation and for any touch up that might be needed. Dr. Lafer is focused on the ultimate outcome and therefore prices by the area. Touch ups are included.
The three most common treatment areas are the horizontal creases in the forehead, gabella (“11 lines” in between the eyebrows), and crow’s feet (smile lines around the eyes). Other areas commonly treated are ptotic (low) eyebrows, platysmal bands (vertical muscle bands in the neck), bunny lines, lip flip, gummy smile, chin dimpling, and undereye bulging (“jelly roll”).
Injectable Filler
Facial volume loss can also be treated with injectable fillers. Dr. Lafer uses hyaluronic acid fillers to treat areas of volume loss and improve symmetry.
